Ali Jafri is a musician, multi-instrumentalist and visual media artist.

He creates genre bending music drawing inspiration from a mix of post-rock, industrial, Middle Eastern and South Asian sources. As a multi-instrumentalist he plays guitar, bass, sitar, Cümbüs (pronounced: joom-bush) saz, tabla, bendir/frame drum, composes digital sound and sings. Ali is currently involved in three ongoing projects, Signs of the _nseen, his solo music, and Saintfield (with Ciara Adams). He recently performed with NPR Tiny Desk Winner Gaelynn Lea and toured parts of North America as part of David J’s (Bauhaus and Love & Rockets) 'Vagabond Vigilantes Tour'.  In November 2019, Ali released his first solo EP entitled Bloodlines, and performed with industrial super group PIGFACE in Toronto and Chicago as part of their North American Tour. Ali formed Saintfield Productions with Ciara Adams in 2018.  Saintfield recently presented a showing of their work, RUX (aRe yoU experienced?) at The Toronto Media Arts Centre (TMAC) and will release their debut EP in the Spring of 2020.   www.jafrimusic.com
